A noun is a word that name something such as a person, place, thing, or idea. In English sentences, nouns can be used as a subject, object or complement.

PROPER NOUNS
A proper noun is a name given to individual people, places, companies, or brands. It begin with an upper case. For example, Mr John, Jane, Adidas, Coke, Saturday.
COMMON NOUNS
Common nouns are words used to name general items rather than specific ones. For example, mug, jean, cup, shirt.
ACTIVITY
Kids can practice and learn nouns through “Noun Label” activity. Make your own list of objects and ask your kids to label it or draw it under the four main category: person, place, thing and animal.
