Ordinal number is a number that tells the position of something in a list.  It tells the position of an object rather than their quantity. For example, we use ordinal numbers to define student’s position in the line of queue.

Ordinal number is usually ends in “th”.

We use ordinal numbers often in everyday life, such as sequencing, days of week, day of month, placement in a race or competition.
