Your kids need to learn how to clean up toys. Cleaning up a mess your kids have made themselves helps develop their sense of responsibility. They care about their toys and look after it. Tidying, sorting and organizing are really good life skills to have. You can help teach them these skills when they are young.
Clean up together with your kids. It be fun, takes less time and show them they are not on their own. Turn cleanup into a learning activity. Explain to your kids why cleaning is necessary after a mess. Explain how if toys aren’t put away correctly someone could trip and hurt themselves.
Select a clean-up song. When they hear that song playing, your children know it’s time to start cleanup. When the song finish, cleanup is done. Music will make the job go faster and will keep your child in a good mood. Sing your own songs and make the clean up time fun.
