The scientific method is a process for experimentation that is used to explore observations and answer questions. A problem is identified, information about the problem is gathered, a hypothesis or question is formulated from the information, and the hypothesis is put to test with an experimented to prove or disprove it’s validity.

Kids question the world around them every day. Parents can begin using the scientific method with young kids and help them discover the world. Encourage kids to ask more questions.

The scientific method has questions and answers.
The scientific method helps us find things out.
We first ask a question and then guess an answer.
And then we do experiments to see if we’re right.

Floating Egg

Egg can float in salt water. Because the density of the egg is higher than the density of fresh water, so it sinks. Adding salt to the water increases the density, so the egg will float. The denser the water the easier it is for an object to float in it.

Scientific method is simply a way of thinking and experimenting to gain knowledge and insights. Understanding the method has great value.
